“We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
The world has so many ideas about what successful living looks like. Get a home. A spouse. A steady job with medical benefits and a 401k plan. If all else fails, the world may let you slide with a decent sized condo and a dog.
But the idea is always that you are burrowing roots. Planting yourself. Trees are proud and sustainable. They are to be looked up to and admired. Very little credit is ever given to the seedling on the wind. It is lost. It may never find its way. Dear God, it may never grow roots!!
But the seedling sees more. Knows more. Experiences more. This is not to dismiss the life of a tree. Merely, to illustrate that there are more states of being available.
Consider me, seedling…for now…until I find a patch a soil worth rooting in. This is my flight in the breeze. Join me.
